AGYINASARE

Charles Agyinasare (English pronunciation: / ɑdʒɪnəsɑ:ri / born 22 March 1962)

is a Ghanaian Christian minister, international speaker, and author of several Christian books.

 He is the Founder of Perez Chapel International – a Pentecostal-Charismatic ministry.

Dr Morris Cerullo remarked on him by stating,

“It is very rare in the calling of God to see the apostolic, evangelistic, prophetical, pastoral, teaching call all manifested through one ministry. But there, it is – in Bishop Asare’s calling, we see the 5-fold ministry

Early Life and Education

Charles Yewurakow Agyinasare was born in Achiase, Ghana, on 22 March 1962, into a Catholic family.

His parents were Staff Sergent Andrews Asare and Elizabeth Arthur. 

He later changed his name to Agyinasare in 2011 following an Accra High Court decree.

Agyinasare stayed in Accra and went through primary school at the Weija Barracks Primary, and the Armed Forces Experimental School.

Agyinasare was a child prodigy, and gained admission into St. Martin’s Secondary School at the tender age of 11.
                    There, he was overtaken by pressure from his colleagues who were much older than he and got caught up in what he calls “sin,

revelry, alcoholism and drug addiction” and was a “women-chasing college freak”. He was later expelled from St. Martin’s.

In his search for answers and having a thirst for the supernatural, Agyinasare practiced Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism for four years;

subsequently fasted and prayed with Muslims in contemplation of converting to Islam. He later felt that none of these could satisfy him.

National Impact

In 2007 Agyinasare received a national award – the Member of the Order of the Volta (MV) – by former President John Agyekum Kufour,

for his outstanding achievements in championing African excellence as a religious leader.

He is also a recognized national and religious leader. He served as the First Vice-President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council and was honoured for his excellence in Apostolic and Pastoral Leadership by the Global Excellence Award For Leadership 2010.

Dr Agyinasare’s global impact has been felt especially through his television ministry.

He has had television programmes on channels in Ghana and Europe; and now through Precious TV (a brainchild satellite television channel),

he broadcasts in many other parts of the world. Precious TV is also online 24 hours a day.

Social Efforts

Bishop Agyinasare is also a philanthropist and a social activist.

He is the head of the Perez Relief and Social Services (PERASOS), a relief agency that supplies clothes,

donates books, and sends relief to the needy in the deprived communities.

He is an ambassador of and donor to the GRAFT Foundation, an NGO that provides free medical services and surgeries to patients with health challenges.

He personally supports orphanages and schools for the disabled.

Literary Work

Bishop Agyinasare is the author of over 50 books, some of which have been translated into French and Japanese. 

His book Good Manners and Etiquette for Everyday Use,

has been approved by the Ghana Education Service for Basic and Senior Secondary Schools,

training colleges and district libraries, and recommended by many including then-Secretary to Cabinet (now Ghana’s Ambassador to the UK) Annan Arkyin Cato.
